I Love Veeam (and you should too)

So, I got my first peek into the Veeam product line a couple years ago.  I was working at a local Church in Louisville, Kentucky and let through a virtual infrastructure refresh (VMWare ESX) and the Consultants we used for sales/engineering/installation (Mirazon) shows me the FastSCP product.  FastSCP is a free SCP program that I used at first to dump simple ISO files from a machine to ESX storage for later use.  Since then, I've used it for backups, and schedule file dumps.  It's awesome, and now, supports ESXi.

I got my second peek into the Veeam product line at a Mirazon lunch-n-learn – I saw demos and learned a ton about the Reporter, Configurator, BackupMonitor products and more.  They offer several FREE products, and even support free ESXi on many of them.

I continue to learn more about Veeam because they are on twitter!  I love that.  I've watched the Veeam team communicate with customers, and those that haven't YET become customers, providing support and coordinating support calls.  Here are just a couple of the Veeam tweeps I follow, and if you aren't already, you should:

Over the next little while (days? weeks? hope it doesn't take too long), I'll blog about the Veeam setup at LifeChurch.tv.  I'm really focusing on Reporter and Monitor right now.  Veeam Backup is coming, but I've got some network changes to make first.

Be sure to come back for more, and Veeam, if you're reading this, I heart you.
